Aurier to PSG price agreed and deal all but done

Serge Aurier is set to complete his transfer from Tottenham to PSG after both teams agreed on a transfer fee, according to Football Insider.

The Ivorian has been at Tottenham since 2017 when he moved from the French side to play for Mauricio Pochettino in a deal worth £23m.

That transfer had been an exciting one at the time as Poch built a team to win Spurs their first trophy in several years.

The full-back quickly showed unreliability and that meant he wasn’t always the first choice under the current PSG boss.

Jose Mourinho also signed Matt Doherty to rival him for a place in the team last summer.

The Republic of Ireland International has proven to be worse than Aurier in most games and allowed the Ivory Coast international to see more minutes than expected.

Aurier will have a year left on his current deal at the end of the season and Spurs have decided that it is best to cash in on him now.

The report didn’t say how much both teams have agreed on, but it confirms that Aurier is set for a return to the French Ligue 1 holders and that should be completed in the next few days.

Japh can play anywhere. Games games games is all japh needs. He’ll be an England regular soon enough. He proper understands this defending thing. I’d train him up to play defensive mid in the peh mold. He Carry’s and protects the ball well. BIIIIG future the boy

If we had proper scouts he’d never have been signed in the first place.

Any team with Aurier and Bale on the same wing is in trouble.

Don’t see it happening, if you read about Lille and what’s going on it just sounds how can I put this “complicated”. I don’t think Levy would allow such a setup.

If power serge does go😔 we’re stuck with Doherty. Doherty should be the one to fck off with a new Right back brought in for serge to fight with for his place.
Good squad player is serge. Can be played as an attacking right sider too. Useful player for cup games. Should t be our first choice right back though
Yousef atal should. What a player

Luis Campos please come to Tottenham. I don’t mind begging even.

If Levy knew what he was doing then he wouldn’t let Hitchen take us further backwards. He would sack him and get a proper sporting director in who can do the job like Luis Campos.

Aurier has been our fourth best player this season if you look at the stats. And our best defender… So we have no manager and are selling our better players.. Before a manager or replacement right back comes in, our situation is becoming more of a joke every day..

I won’t lose any sleep if Aurier goes, but there others who should be ahead of him on the list of those who have to leave imo.

First of many out the door I hope, far too much deadwood in this squad with no fight in them

I hope this is true. I would like to see Tanganga play there next season. I wonder what will happen with regards to Sessegnon next season. Will we take him back and have him compete with Reguilon?

Time will tell if this is true and who we bring in will be God help us interesting in the Steve Davis way of things.

At least we’ve started shifting the deadwood early

Good riddance. The rumour is the fee is around £12 mill which means a hit of approximately £11 mill but at least it appears that Levy, for once has bitten the bullet and taken his digit out of his a**se, instead of waiting to recoup his money. Now sell Doherty as he is cr*p as well.
