Bale’s permanent stay being worked on, the cost appears reasonable

Gareth Bale returned to Tottenham on loan this season, and he might make his loan deal permanent rather than make a return to Real Madrid, according to Calciomercato.

The Welshman struggled with his football when he was in Spain.

In the last few seasons there, he was unable to break into the first team at the club.

Zinedine Zidane wanted him gone and the Frenchman got his wish this summer when Spurs signed him temporarily for this campaign.

The attacker is now enjoying his football again and any human being will want to remain where they are happy.

The player and Tottenham are harmonious and the report claims that Tottenham is already working on making his loan deal permanent.

It claims that the teams are already talking and Spurs are hoping to land him for just 15 million euros.

This will be a big steal if Spurs were to pull it off, but you can never bet on Daniel Levy not getting the best deal for his team.

The report claims that the fee might be small for a player of Bale’s quality, but the transfer will be in the best interest of Real Madrid because it will help them to save the wages that they are currently paying him.

I’d be very interested to know the “several metrics” that prove mail in voting is subject to a lower degree of verification than walk in voting, this simply isn’t true. The mail in votes are subject to an incredibly stringent process when counted. This fact has been verified by both Republican and Democrat governers of several states. You say the “severe likelihood” of fraud “is undeniable” with no evidence to support this claim, let alone the phraseology that it’s “undeniable” something is likely. I’d also be intrigued to know how the counting of walk in ballots is “irreproachable”?

Also you state that he has filed suits in Democratic run states, another Trump lie. Two of the 5 states are Republican governed and those governors have confirmed that there have been no irregularities with their voting process.

You are correct that the left wing media can not call the election result, this is simply a tradition in America based on information that makes it clear that one candidate has an unassailable lead. Each state has different certification deadlines ranging from 2 days to up to a month. However, it’s interesting that amongst your supposed left wing media Fox news were the first to call Arizona for Biden well before any other major networks even dared to.

Finally the timing of vote counts are set in law for each individual state. Some are allowed to count mail in and absentee ballots before election night, others are after election night and in the case of Pennsylvania not until the 4th of November. This has been the case for many years and is only attracting attention because Trump has said it’s illegal, which it isn’t and has been upheld in state supreme court.

The undermining democracy part is the fact that a sitting president can hold a press conference to the world making baseless accusations of fraud and lying to suit his agenda (no better than your left wing media). Criticising a process or organisation with no evidence is to undermine it and accusing elected officials and your electorate of voter fraud is the very definition of undermining the democratic process.

Watch Borat 2… They get Trumps personal lawyer an absolute treat. He was caught on camera with what he thought was a 15 yr old girl in a hotel bedroom with a whiskey in one hand, and his other hand in his pants.. This personal lawyer and close friend of the American president tells you all you need to know about the morality of such disgusting men.. Trump chatting to jeffery epstein on video was also telling… Everytime the man opens his mouth he embaresses himself. He’s so rude. He’s often so wrong. He lies. He has made America a laughing stock with his nonsense…… And then we have Boris… Who hardly fares better.

The man has lost his marbles I believe. One can tell he’s a fool just by looking at him. Those facial expressions.. And then he speaks!….. There were alot on here defending and backing him when he took power.. I’m still in shock now he’s their president.. It’s like a bad joke.. Time has told and hes outdone himself repeatedly.

I take all of your points but we all know that if the boot was on the other foot and it was in Trump’s interest to count all of the votes, postal whatever, then he’d want every last one counted himself. The strategy to call it finished early before his weaker states were counted was clearly an attempt to stop his opponent winning.

America is hardly unified but for me, Trump lost a lot of support in the Rust Belt states that he won over back in 2016. Traditional white working class former industrial areas that traditionally vote Democrat.

He simply didn’t deliver enough of what he promised to keep enough of them still onside four years later.

Also, I think he pushed the whole Twitter thing too far once President. Pulled out of any climate change coalitions and the thing about using light and bleach to treat Covid was bordering on comedic. At the end of the day this guy is your president.

I thought his whole presence shook things up, and the political establishment must not ignore the Trump demographic otherwise things will only get worse. If they don’t learn from Trump being symptomatic of a deeper problem of many people being left behind by the liberal agenda, then they will only have themselves to blame now.

Trump at least spoke directly to his support, personally though I feel he promised them things that he could never deliver in a country so huge and diverse.

That’s why he’s lost this election and why he should take it like a man rather than this quite childish attempt to make the whole thing look like a stitch up.

Even his son in law wants him to concede ffs, as well as a growing number of Republicans. For now at least, just like Dele Ali, Trump is toast…

COYS 1882 why the need to defend the defenceless me thinks? Deal maker supremo showman milking the adulation of the audience Trump hates losing. Not in his DNA. Dismissing his opponents with contempt, boorish bully Trump exhibits a nasty streak to his character condemning critical media of fake news and the unsuccessful impeachment process as a political witch hunt!! All following a rather predictable theme. Hiring and firing numerous key personnel throughout surrounding his chaotic term of presidency speaks volumes about the guy who seemingly lacks any moral fibre of decency and behaved in an undignified fashion to the bitter end.

Narcissism aside, the globalist, left-wing, media doesn’t call the election result. It’s a legal process. Accordingly, Trump has not at this point lost, nor has he ‘undermined democracy’, as the whining, prevaricating, egregiously biased, woke tools in the global media would have you believe.

Based upon the irreproachable counting of in-person votes, on election day, in several marginal states, Trump was clearly in the lead overnight, only for large swathes of postal ballots, in many cases counted several days after the event, to ultimately, narrowly, undermine several of those leads.

It is an unassailable fact, by several metrics, that mail-in voting is subject to a far lower degree of verification than in-person voting and thus a far greater possibility of manipulation. The severe likelihood that there is mail-in voting fraud is undeniable, the only question is how much and to what degree was it willfully connived at.

Thus, legitimately, in accordance with a wholly transparent democratic process, Trump has launched various law suits alleging electoral malfeasance on the part of several Democrat governed states. Until such allegations have either been disproven or the effect of any discovered irregularities deemed insufficient to have altered the result of the election, there is no declared winner under law.

What are you disagreeing about? Bale evidently hasn’t lost his ability, so as stated in my post, the only issue regarding a loan renewal would be fitness. Provided he can achieve and maintain full fitness the loan deal will be renewed. There will be no permanent transfer for the reasons I have stated.

Disagree, sentimentality aside, IMO it’s pointless in either sorting a transfer or renewing his loan deal if Bale’s overall season of performances disappoints!!

Gets my goat, his narcissistic irrational behaviour aside, incumbent on bad loser Trump apologising for undermining democracy and lacking any graciousness / decency congratulating his opponent on losing the USA election which by prolonging the agony he has refused to do to date.
Anyway whilst I occasionally digress onto politics being correctly reminded by Lord Croker it’s a footy blog not a political forum to express my personal views. Enough said!

This ‘Calciomercato’ story is utter fake news. Why would Spurs need or want to ‘make the deal permanent’? They wouldn’t. They already hold all the aces. Bale is not going back to Madrid under any circumstances. Levy has already negotiated a great loan deal for Bale which, provided Bale remains fit, will be renewed at the end of this season. This renewal would extend the loan period up to the end of Bale’s contract with Real Madrid, at which point he would be a free agent. So the idea that Levy would pay a transfer fee for Bale and then have to assume the full cost of his wages is patently ludicrous and won’t happen under any circumstances.

Ok it’s an isolated game against WBA with Bale still regaining match fitness when we had glimpses of what he can do but only glimpses in what was a rather anonymous performance by expectant standards.

City, Chelski, Arse, Palace, Pool & Lesta, twixt Nov 21st and Dec 19th. By winter solstice we’ll know whether a title challenge exists in any meaningful way. and with the Ropeys in between this is going to be the most testing month of the season.

Lets roll back time to 7 yrs ago when Bale was in his prime skinning defenders for fun and scoring thunderbolt goals. Will it yield dividends, let’s hope so but seemingly doubtful in which case Bale returns to RM.

As much as this would be great news for Spurs, the only reason he’s here right now is because Madrid are paying in the order of 2 thirds of his wages.
They’re surely not going to continue to do that after a permanent transfer.
It just remains to be seen if Gareth will take a humongous wage cut to stay in London for the liberty of actually playing football. Fingers and toes and all that…
