Gareth Bale has revealed that he is looking to add to Tottenham’s upward trajectory when he finally starts playing for the team.
The Welsh winger has just returned to Spurs on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.
He was a part of the Real Madrid team that dominated Europe for the better part of the last decade.
He fell out of favour with the Spanish champions, and he has now returned to N17 to get more playing time.
Speaking on how he intends to make an impact on the team, he was full of praise for the quality of players at the club and how they have progressed in recent seasons, including reaching the final of the Champions League last year.
He claimed that all he wants to do is to add to that progress and to ensure that the club is moving in the right direction.
“Of course when you come into any club you want to do well, you want to help the team as much as you can,” Bale said to Sky Sports.
“We have a great team here now with a great squad. They’ve been doing great. Obviously in the time that I’ve gone away they’ve gone on and on and obviously reached the Champions League final, the club’s got a new stadium, the club itself is better, they’re doing better in the Premier League every year.
“So I just want to add to that. I want to try and bring a bit more to the team and try and progress even more and keep pushing in the right direction.”

Baie will lift everything and bring that winning experience, I love him being back even before he’s kicked a ball. He’ll help make up for some of Jose’s short comings. Bale is now a player you don’t need to manage. Just get him fit and in that side and it’s a better side, end of story…
“they’re doing better in the Premier League every year”
Baler hasn’t really been keeping up has he. Bless him.
Maybe this is the professionalism and experience of a serial winner which will convince Dele to get his act together.
Women’s FA Cup quarter-final fixture against Arsenal will be played on
Saturday 26 September, kick-off is 5.15pm at Meadow Park, and the match
will be broadcast live on BBC Two.
Very measured with no bull , so refreshing to hear, I wonder how the fitness situation will be resolved with him, as there may well be a club v country dilemma coming up.
Madrid’s loss is our gain, we’ll bring him the love and he’ll bring us the devastating attacking play that only he can.
