José Mourinho in his pre-Leyton Orient presser, was fielded an essentially daft opening question – whether Gareth Bale was going to be the type of player that he was when he left 6/7 years ago, which he dealt with very kindly.
What was interesting in the Special One’s response, was that José made reference to Bale’s motivation and how this could shorten the recovery times from both exertion and from injury. Which has been something Harry Kane has almost been a specialist at. There was a great scene in the All or Nothing series, where Giovani Lo Celso was sat on a physio table, and said to the gaffer, ‘rely on me’.
It is precisely this mindset that Mourinho has brought to Hotspur Way and those that cannot adopt these excellent levels of practice will, in my view, be gone, sooner rather than later.
The phrase describing a culture or an attitude as ‘can do’ has been overused, but the principals remain solid in all walks of life. I submit, that if you are not a ‘can do’ type, then you are doomed to failure in whatever field it is that you’re in.
Gareth Bale is another serial winner and for one or two, the Tottenham dressing room just became slightly more uncomfortable.
More, please.

The difference second half when Lo Celso came on was seismic, good player we have yet to see the best of, as for Bale, do we need to question anything whatsoever of a player who has achieved so much in the game ?
The fire still burns…….
Fantastic player.
Bale will bring a winning mentality to the dressing room for sure. The youngsters will look up to him – what an influence he can be. He transforms teams just with his presence, look at what Wales have achieved with him and that’s a far lesser squad than ours. Of course he has to feel wanted and he most certainly will.
Yes coupled with N’Dombele who showed a bit more in his first half at the weekend. That could be our best pair of offensive midfielders.
Good to hear about Le Celso ,some people dont think he is not all that but i think it will turn out well for him and us .
Up to standard.
