Tottenham reported to have tabled a £16M offer for South American midfielder

Tottenham is looking to sign Brazilian midfield star, Gerson as he continues to impress back in Brazil with Flamengo.

The midfielder has had a stint in Europe before and only returned to the Brazilian top-flight because he couldn’t settle at AS Roma.

He is now back in the news with a number of European teams looking to sign him.

Tottenham, however, appears to be the team with the strongest interest in his signature and a new report from Goal claims that the Lilywhites are prepared to offer £16 Million for his signature with Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his side in the summer.

The report, however, claims that the club is looking to keep hold of their best players and they might not sell him to Spurs.

The midfielder is also said to be happy to remain at his present side to continue his development.

If the midfielder decides to move, he might end up with Spurs because of Jose Mourinho’s influence, being that he and the midfielder both speak Portuguese.

With the summer transfer window set to be reopened after this season is completed, Mourinho will most likely look to add some new players to his team and it would be interesting to see if he can convince Gerson to join him at Tottenham.

Yes please. We do have a lot of midfielders but some ain’t good enough. (Dier and winks) dele too for me. that’s it Jose, change up the team. Someone said something below about language not being a deal clincher. Well the most decorated manager in the world who happens to speak your language is. Most of pochs lot have to go. As i keep on saying “Very few will be here when the glory starts. Oliver skip must not be sold. I think gedson may get sent back when his loan spell is over, unless he improves massively or his price drops drastically. Half.

We’ll need two extra fifty seater buses for all these new players.

Mmm, Jose speaks Portuguese, so that could be a deal clincher! Wages and potential to win a trophy might come well before that. Maybe Neymar will come too!

We don’t need more midfielders, more important places to fill. Doesn’t make sense, so it’s probably true.
