In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Mauricio Pochettino revealed his top 3 Premier League players and admitted he would be open to managing a Premier League club outside the top six and is eager to return to management: https://t.co/OU18taDkzq pic.twitter.com/iC6Rm1zv7o
No, not Mauricio Pochettino’s shopping list for Newcastle, but who the 48-year-old feels are the three best players in the Premier League outside of his former Tottenham boys.
Kevin De Bruyne should be top of anybody’s list, and Sergio Aguero, so often overlooked in these sort of equations, is not a surprise because of the Argentinian connection.
But Roberto Firmino is a bit of a shock pick. The Brazilian scored two goals in eight matches against Poch’s Tottenham, so it’s not like he has given us major problems over the years.
I know how highly rated Firmino is inside the Liverpool bubble but it is still a bit of a hipster pick from Poch, considering all of the other stars of the soon-to-be title winners to choose from.

Agreed. Great attitude and hard worker allowing Mane and Salah to flourish
Firmino is such an intelligent player. He moves from midfield areas to attack and back again finding great space. He keeps the ball so well, has great feet and is as unselfish a player as any I have seen. A proper footballers footballer. If Dele wants a role model, he needn’t look too far.
