Tottenham boss José Mourinho will reportedly be given a transfer war-chest this summer and has specific targets in mind.
Football is on hold as the world battles the coronavirus pandemic, and Spurs’ endured a disappointing fortnight prior to the suspension of fixtures.
Mourinho saw his side crash out of the FA Cup and Champions League, while they remain off the pace in the battle for a Champions League qualification spot when, or if, the season resumes.
In turn, it suggests that the 57-year-old will need to be handed reinforcements and players that he wants to allow him to stamp his mark on the squad, and as per Bild, and re-reported by the Express, it’s claimed that he has a number of targets in mind.
The reports above note that the Spurs boss could be handed £135m to spend this summer, while Marcel Sabitzer, Youcef Atal, Jamal Lewis, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Eder Militao are all wanted.
That quintet would certainly help add quality and depth to the squad, but it remains to be seen if deals can be done for all five of them.
As per the tweets below, there was a major response from Tottenham fans, and while most were excited about the possible incomings, others were perhaps a little more sceptical.

There are no promises brother. Poch was reportedly going to be backed too. I keep picturing him showing the press his empty pockets inside out… Painful rebuild was always going to be on the cards with levy.. Give him 3 targets and hel come back with none or maybe one downgrade.
I suppose you can dream, don’t want to knock those fans hopes, I used to be a Tottenham Newsnow addict, but after going cold turkey I steer clear of all the Spurs linked with player X, Y, Z articles.
I stand to be proved wrong ,but Levy will use this virus lockdown to eliminate any thought of transfer funds being available to Mourinho and he will be hamstrung like all previous Spurs managers.
Those so called fans enthusing about these promises need to seriously get a life to avoid disappointment on an industrial scale.
