Heung-Min Son will reportedly return to the Tottenham training ground next week to provide Jose Mourinho with a crucial boost.
The 27-year-old has been absent over the past fortnight as after returning from South Korea having undergone surgery on his fractured arm, he has stayed away as a precautionary measure amid the coronavirus outbreak.
However, according to the Evening Standard, he is expected to join up with the rest of the group on Monday, as he’ll look to build his fitness back up and be available for selection when the rescheduled fixtures are confirmed.
It’s noted in the report above that the Tottenham squad trained as normal on Friday as they haven’t had any cases of coronavirus confirmed, although it’s added that they are taking precautions with their workforce.
The intention of the Premier League is to resume fixtures from April 4 onwards, as per their official statement, and so it remains to be seen if Son is able to get the green light from the Spurs medical staff to feature when they get back out on the pitch.
With the likes of Harry Kane and Steven Bergwijn currently sidelined by injury, Son’s return for any potential games to finish this season will be a welcome boost for Tottenham.
