“I am with the player” Mourinho Stands With Dier

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has reiterated that he doesn’t want the club to take disciplinary action against Eric Dier.

The 26-year-old was involved in an altercation with a fan after Tottenham’s FA Cup tie with Norwich City in midweek, with the Evening Standard noting that the police have since launched an investigation.

It’s added in that report that both Spurs and the FA have taken a backward step to allow the police to take the lead, having also looked into the matter themselves.

However, Mourinho has doubled down on his stance on the situation as he has insisted that he doesn’t think the club should take disciplinary action against his midfielder.

“I don’t know the answer (as to whether he will be disciplined),” he said, as quoted by Sky Sports, who note that the Spurs boss made his position clear in midweek. “The only thing I can say is that, if the club does, it’s not because I want it.

“I am with the player. I believe that the club is also with the player. So I believe there is no action from us. One thing is conversations, sharing ideas, another thing is going in that direction, which I don’t think we as a club want to go.”

As per the Sky Sports report above, Mourinho is said to have branded Dier’s actions unprofessional, but he continues to support his player as the investigation continues.

Meanwhile, as noted by BBC Sport, the Portuguese tactician also confirmed that Dier will be in contention to face Burnley this weekend, and so it remains to be seen if he features in the late kick-off on Saturday.

It’s great, don’t worry. Levy gonna go big very soon, just you wait. Massive stuff happening at some point in the future, when that exactly is nobody knows but it’s definitely happening! 😂

Jose has worked at many of the world’s top clubs. Levy wants to show the world that TOTTENHAM was one of them. (And he won stuff here too) I’m hoping Jose stays for 5 and wins a lot. Settles a strong team. The world fearing us. This man must be given time. Simple. All the resistance towards him is wrong. I think

Give him a bit longer. Trust me man we gonna be big in this thing. TOTTENHAM gonna explode especially after this Amazon publicity is released. Great move from l€vy that was. COY$

I’ll enjoy the ride next season when Jose can start this thing FULLY and properly. Not so much this season while hes doing a rescue and repair job. He hasn’t even had the time to take the engine out let alone rebore it. Needs a new clutch and gearbox too. Plus the timing belt has nearly had it Our mechanics will be very very busy in the summer. Serious retuning. “Snap on” tools at the ready boys. I done tell you already. Very few of pochs lot will be here when the inevitable glory starts. I really don’t understand how people can be getting on Jose’s back already. I bet he’s never walked into a dressing room like it. A dressing room full of no desire. I remember once on a ship yard we were working high up 90m it was freezing 18 men on our section. Last gang leader was a non people person and everyone hated him and was eventually sacked. New man came in and people were working with the same can’t be bothered attitude (on good dough) most of them men were moved else where on the yard replaced with new men. Booom. The vibe changed and productivity increased. I happy worker is a better worker. Stale gangs are never good. Complacency. If I was running gangs I would change them up everywhere except those who sign there sections with pride in there work. Like me. Do and do it properly once is my motto. Never rush. If you don’t get any come backs when they ultrasonic your work no one will ever bother you. Jose will build a strong prideful team. Give him a chance. He and Sacramento will get it right. There won’t be any “fossel football trained into them. Sacramento don’t work like that. Clasford sterling MBE says he’s a fantastic people’r. Loved already. Right through the ages. I hope he’s now not on Jose’s staff that will move clubs with him. He’s the future you know.
