25-yr-old’s exit could see €50m-rated ace head ‘in the direction of Tottenham’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been linked with a move away from the club after failing to establish himself as a key player for the London club.

The French midfielder joined Spurs for a fee of around £63 million back in 2019 but he has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth for a number of reasons. He has struggled to adapt to life in English football and he has had a number of injury problems as well.

The Londoners decided to loan him out to Lyon last season and the French club had an option to sign him permanently. However, they refused to exercise the option in the summer and the player is now back at Tottenham.

As per numerous rumours, the 25-year-old is not a key part of Antonio Conte’s first team plans next season and therefore a summer move would be ideal for all parties.

Tottenham director Fabio Paratici is currently in Italy and he is expected to meet with Roma regarding a move for the Frenchman. Apparently, the capital club are looking to sign the midfielder on a loan deal with an obligation to buy permanently next summer as per romagiallorossa.it

However, the report adds that the Italian giants will have to pay a ‘frightening’ fee in order to sign in the player.

Meanwhile, Spurs have been linked with a move for Nicolo Zaniolo and it will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out a move that benefits them both.

The report claims that Ndombele’s arrival could see €50 million-rated Zaniolo ‘go out in the direction of Tottenham’.

Zaniolo is very good ,one of the best in SerieA ,but I doubt he will come to spurs ,I believe its Juve or Inter who will get him. His passing and thinking is way ahead of of his team mates. He will slot straight into our team. He can also play as a creative midfielder but needs to play alongside 2 deeper center midfielders

Unless it’s a straight swap, I wouldn’t touch Zaniolo with a barge pole. TWO season ending knee surgeries, in the last 3 years, represents a huge risk and we would be very foolish to outlay even half of what Roma are reportedly asking.
