Antonio Conte has been linked with the move away from Tottenham Hotspur with this contract expiring in a few months.
Although Tottenham have the option to exercise a one-year extension, the Italian is thought to be keen on leaving the club.
It is highly unlikely that Daniel Levy will hold on to the Italian manager against his wishes and therefore there is a high possibility that there will be someone else managing Tottenham next season.
The Londoners have been linked with managers like Mauricio Pochettino in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, journalist Marco Barzaghi has revealed (h/t SportWitness) that Ivan Perisic could follow the Italian manager out of the club.
The 34-year-old has reportedly confided to some of his former teammates that he wants to return to Inter Milan. The Croatian international has been a key player for Antonio Conte for a few seasons now and the Italian could look to take him back to Inter Milan in the summer.
“He [Perišić] too would like to return, above all because he understood that Conte is leaving at the end of the season, and things could get even more complicated for him: He, like Hakimi himself, as they confide to his former teammates, would like to return. I don’t think Perišić expected such a modest adventure in the Premier League.”
The £180k-a-week star is in the twilight years of his career and Tottenham are unlikely to force him to stay. He has been a very useful player for the London club and he has played in multiple roles for them. The Croatian has played as a winger as well as a left-back from time to time. He has 9 assists to his name across all competitions as well.
Perisic could still be a useful squad player for Inter Milan and it remains to be seen whether the transfer goes through at the end of the season.
