Tottenham Hotspur signed Ivan Perisic at the start of the season, but the player is looking to leave the club in the summer.
The 34-year-old joined the North London club in order to reunite with Antonio Conte. The Croatian international worked under the Italian manager at Inter Milan and Conte helped him win multiple trophies at the club.
However, Tottenham have now decided to part ways with the Italian manager and Perisic is looking for a way out as well according to the Italian publication Tuttosport.
The 34-year-old has been a useful player for Tottenham since joining the club at the start of the season. The experienced winger has one goal and 11 assists to his name across all competitions.
He has been deployed as a wingback for the majority of the season, but Perisic can operate as the left-sided winger as well.
The £170k-a-week star is a proven performer at the highest level, and he has shown his quality with multiple European clubs and with his country. There is no doubt that he could continue to be a very useful squad player for Tottenham and his departure will come as a blow to the London club.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to sanction his departure at the end of the season. A return to Italy could be on the cards for the 34-year-old winger, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
The report claims that the opportunity to play for his former club Inter Milan could be an appealing option to the winger.
