Tottenham board ‘listening to opportunities’ as ‘enquiry’ made for 25-yr-old

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been linked with a move away from the London club this summer.

The Frenchman was on loan at Lyon last season and they had the option to sign him permanently.

However, they decided against exercising the right to buy him permanently and the 25-year-old has returned to Tottenham.

It seems that the player is not in Antonio Conte’s first team plans and he was recently left out of the pre-season tour to South Korea.

It is fair to assume that the midfielder will have to leave Tottenham in order to secure regular first-team football next season and Galatasaray are thought to be keen on securing his services.

According to Media Foot, the Turkish club might not be able to afford the player on a permanent deal and they could look to sign him on loan. Spurs value the player at around €50 million.

Meanwhile, the report also claims that Tottenham will not stand in his way if a ‘good offer’ comes in.

Apparently, the club ‘leaders are listening to opportunities’ following Galatasaray’s ‘enquiry’.

The Londoners paid £63 million for his services back in 2019 and they will be hoping to recoup as much as possible if they were to sell him this summer.

However, it seems unlikely that the player’s suitors will splash the cash on him given his current form.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks. With the World Cup coming up, Ndombele will have to sort out his future quickly so that he can focus on regaining his match fitness and confidence with regular game time over the next few months.

Pay off his contract and let’s never speak of him, Adebayor or Nuno ever again!

Richarlison is not what I would regard as a ‘marquee’ signing.

Turkey on loan is the usual destination for highly paid flops…

Dont know where to begin re Tanguy .
I cant believe that this players future was “unseeable” .
Every hall mark of the lazy , overweight , unfit type of sportsman was there to be observed. Whoever was responsible [ he knows who he is ] for this purchase should be sacked , dismissed and possibly beheaded for the worst piece of scouting assessment advice Ihave ever witnessed .Mutton for Lamb doesn’t even come close………….

Will be a while before Spurs make a big money marquee signing again thanks to this blunder. Also we’ll never be able to complain about it “because N’Dombele…”

I do like the picture of Tanguy though. Next time see if you can photoshop him into dining at his favorite restaurant Nando’s.

Appreciate that many to the figures bandied about in the media may bear no resemblance to what the clubs, agents etc involved discuss amongst themselves, but I’m sure even Levy doesn’t seriously imagine Ndombele is worth €50m?

50 million? I would put Tanguy’s transfer value right now at 0 million, considering his hefty contract and uninspiring play. Spurs will be lucky to find soneone willing to borrow him without having to pay part of his wages.
