The longer Gareth Bale’s loan period runs at, the easier it is to see that the old adage about two sides to every story remains true. For an individual of Zinedine Zidane’s stature to publicly express such venom towards the 31-year-old tells me that it is not impossible that we might be dealing with a time-waster. The headlines after the games against lesser sides in which Bale shone screamed BALE IS BACK, but they were followed by a more typical performance against Fulham which was deemed a significant step backward.
Clearly, the Real Madrid gaffer has absolutely had it with Bale and does not want him back under any circumstances. Should Levy have any crazy notions of extending the Welshman’s stay at Hotspur Way, please let us hope he gets a further discount, as the current 50% isn’t quite cutting the risk versus reward mustard.

As Jose said in his own special way recently – if Bale was good enough, he’d still be at Madrid. Nethertheless, I wouldn’t be suprised if Levy did get another % off his wages for next year. He would love Bale for another year with fans back in the stadium and I’m sure Bale would love to play in front of a full stadium. Problem is, I’m sure Jose would prefer to have the money spent elsewhere!
