Tottenham Hotspur signed Yves Bissouma in the summer of 2022 from Brighton for a transfer fee of £30 million.
He penned a four-year deal with the club.
Bissouma struggled in his first season at Tottenham under Antonio Conte but the Malian international has been a consistent presence in Ange Postecoglou’s lineup this season.

Under the management of Postecoglou, Bissouma is showcasing some of his best performances.
Primarily deployed as a defensive midfielder, he adds solidity to the team’s defence while also proving himself proficient on the ball.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the 27-year-old was asked for his prediction on which team would emerge victorious in the Premier League this season.
Bissouma didn’t hesitate to name Manchester City as the favourite for the title.
Despite currently sitting in 3rd place, just a point behind Arsenal and Liverpool, with a game in hand, he sees the Pep Guardiola’s side as the frontrunners.
In response to the question about the best defensive midfielder, the former Lille midfielder named Rodri as the best in the world in his position.
Bissouma has the ability to become the best in his position as well as he has shown with his performances during his time at Brighton as well as at Spurs this season.
However, he will need to be more consistent with his performances.
With his ability to contribute across various aspects of the game, Bissouma could emerge as a pivotal figure in Tottenham’s pursuit of a league title next season.
