“You can’t have been watching Spurs for long then” One Fan Stoutly Defends Spurs After Fabrizio Update

By The Boy -

Super pundit Fabrizio Romano in discussion on his Here We Go podcast understands that Tottenham Hotspur are still behind their current coach Nuno Espírito Santo. Fans addressing the news on social media are definitely split over the Portuguese coach, who is having a distinctly unmemorable season in the N17 hot seat.

One supporter actually makes a decent point. Not so long ago, Spurs were incapable of putting up a good show against many of our London rivals. A point against Arsenal was to be savoured as it spared our blushes. So one could argue that it is indeed, nothing new.

However, this is a very selective outlook. If a child today tells his grandparent that they are bored, then they some Dickensian tale of growing up having only wooden toys, no television and no Internet is unlikely to cut the mustard. That was then, and this is now.

Since the very enjoyable days of Martin Jol, THFC are almost unrecognizable, the crest is now a logo, The Lane is demolished, and we now have an entertainment complex that is only missing a roller rink and a multiplex cinema.

I take a view that clinging to the past is a poor excuse for a club stalling.

For me I think the first team second team scenario has upset a number of players who regard themselves as more than just filling in when required.
It doesn’t help the situation when they see the supposedly first choice team perform as badly in the following game.
Now we read that Dele and Winks won’t be involved tonight and if correct, the signs are that Nuno is losing the dressing room, we’ll see.

its not the result, it was the performance!

yes we used to take nothing away from certain derbys but the team always went out and put their heart and soul into the performance. used to be they were just not good enough.

Talking in potential only this current squad of scroungers and wanderers are good enough just we have gone for the bargain basement of potential and ndombele sums it up. On the surface for a free passing, dribbling, attacking midfielder with the best potential available it was a bargain, in reality we got a player who is shattered from the warm up and incapable of performing regularly.

sess, alli, lo celso, Sanchez all ‘world beating’ internationals who turned out to be just players with unlived potential

maybe one day levy will learn or sell the club
