Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with multiple managers in recent weeks, and former Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez is on their radar as well.

According to a report from Fichajes, the 45-year-old is ‘one of the favourites’ to land the Tottenham job because of his different style of play.

The report states that the Tottenham hierarchy is impressed with his tactical profile, which has identity and potential.

It will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement to appoint him as their next manager. The Spaniard is on the radar of Bayer Leverkusen and Al-Hilal as well.

Xavi Hernandez could be a good appointment

He has impressed at Barcelona in the past, and he helped them win the La Liga title. There is no doubt that he could prove to be an excellent appointment for the London club.

Tottenham needs someone who has the experience of competing at the highest level and winning major trophies. Xavi knows what it takes to manage a big club and fight for trophies regularly. He has done that as a manager as well as a player.

Ange Postecoglou has been criticised for his overly aggressive system, but the Spaniard has a more controlled approach.

Xavi likes his teams to control the ball and control the space. His teams tend to dominate possession, and that will help Tottenham dominate games instead of being exposed defensively.

The opportunity to manage in the Premier League could be exciting for the 45-year-old, and he could look to take up a new challenge this summer. Tottenham have an ambitious project and a talented squad. With a few intelligent additions in the summer, they could challenge for trophies next year.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks. Multiple managers are on their radar, and Tottenham will need to get their managerial appointment right. This has been a disappointing season for them, and they could miss out on Champions League qualification. They cannot afford to have another season like this next year.
