“Worst Tottenham player I’ve ever seen” “Found his level” These fans aren’t happy at all|video

By The Boy -

Not just a killer goal from the Welshman, but, as with Doherty, another excellent performance, that beat the mean averages in multiple disciplines. Yet Ben Davies is a player that still comes in for casual abuse.

12 Recoveries, 3 in the Stoke half

Aerial duels success 67%

That goal

So when we look at Ben Davies’ net worth to the team against Stoke, the message is a simple one, if we add up the good bits, the outweigh the bad bits. Which makes me feel like I am actually explaining to people what they saw, for them. Which is depressing. I guess the moral of the story is, some folk don’t let the facts get in the way of their feelings. Bless ’em.

Excellent squad play for domestic cup games maybe. Not good enough to be in a champions League squad for next season. Low grade baller.

Usually I look at the time of these tweets. Most are idiots with a phone in hand 20 minutes into the game, if so long.

Inexpensive, left sided, good team man. The sort of player which trends a team in a downward progression.

Ben Davis is an excellent squad player, proves it all the time.

Doherty was not good at all, hasn’t been since got him. Bentley 2.0

He had a good game against stoke but that was his first goal since 2017… His ropey league performances recently were shocking. Antwerp and Ludogorets both schooled him…. Davies is alright for a back up against a mid level championship side… But he’s nowhere near top grade… If feelings were to come into play then keep the lad.. He’s spurs and he always tries… But if i was manager I’d go with my head over my heart. Reguillion is twice the player. It’s imperitive that the club does all it can to make the spaniards deal permanent.

Would he make a Man City, Liverpool squad nevermind their first teams?

One good game against a championship side doesn’t forgive all the below par ones.
Great goal though.

Why don’t you people ask yourselves why Ben Davies is still playing for this club after six years under different managers and with a long term contract.
No please don’t answer, just let the facts sink in .

I have really tried to see the value in Ben Davies and I just cannot agree with this statement. If you watch how many times he receives the ball and just stops the forward momentum and turns and plays it back or sideways, His distribution is shocking along with Dier and along with Dier and Aurier he is involved in many instances that lead to conceding possession and goals. Yes, he scored a good and important goal but that is a rare positive against the many negatives.
