World Cup Winner could come to Tottenham on a free transfer this summer

By Harry Hotspur -

The Sun is reporting that numerous sources believe that Jerome Boateng could be on his way to North London, although a player with such a glittering CV would have no end of other suitors, and both Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are named as interested parties.

Jerome Boateng’s heat map

Looking at the German’s heat map, this is certainly a player that fits a hole that Tottenham have, add to which a cursory glance at the 32-year-old’s stats show that the World Cup winner is still very much on top of his game. One issue here that we are looking at here is that there are differences between the Bundesliga and the Premier League.

At 32 however, this would be a treading water exercise. A billion pound stadium and another stop-gap deal designed to bail Spurs out. Quite what we might then get for Davinson Sanchez on the open market is anyone’s guess.
