“Won’t be available” – Another blow as Ange confirms duo will miss the game against Brentford

By Mehdi Gokal -

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon will not be available to play against Brentford.

Spurs have had a number of injuries this season, with nearly 21 players out with an injury over the course of the campaign.

But almost all of them are now back fit with Spurs nearing a completely fit squad.

However, Lo Celso and Sessegnon continue to be absent.

The Argentine picked up a hamstring injury during the game against Burnley and has been out since then.

The severity of his injury was uncertain and O Keefe recently reported that Lo Celso’s injury remains a mystery.

He missed the games against Manchester United and Manchester City but was expected to be back for the Brentford game.

But Ange has confirmed that he will not be available for the midweek clash either.

And the Australian has also ruled Ryan Sessegnon out of the game against Brentford.

Speaking ahead of the game tomorrow, Ange said (via The Spurs Express):

“No, those guys (Lo Celso and Sessegnon) won’t be available. So the situation is pretty much the same as the last game.”

Sessegnon had just returned to action after being sidelined since the summer with a hamstring injury sustained during training.

He made his return against Burnley coming on for the final 10 minutes, but it was not his best cameo.

It was then revealed that he picked up a knock again due to which he missed the game at Old Trafford and the FA Cup clash against Manchester City.

While the absence of the two will not have a major impact on the team, the injuries remain a concern for Tottenham.

They have a busy schedule ahead with 3 games in 10 days and Ange will want as many players available as possible.
