Wolves manager Gary O Neil makes Neto admission amid strong links with Tottenham

Wolves manager Gary O Neil has shared the latest on Pedro Neto’s future amid links with Tottenham.

While Spurs have been actively considering various targets across different positions, the prospect of adding a winger to their squad has generated significant interest within the club.

Pedro Neto, the talented Portuguese international, has emerged as one of the prime targets for the position.

Despite being under contract with Wolves until June 2027, recent reports suggest that Wolves would be open to considering offers for Neto, particularly if a substantial bid of £60 million is made in the summer transfer window.

However, the Wolves manager has expressed his desire to retain Neto at Molineux Stadium, emphasising that the club are not actively planning to part ways with the right-winger.

But he hinted that a move away is not impossible, suggesting that it is something that will be decided in the summer.

Addressing the rumours linking the right-winger to a move to North London, quoted by Fabrizio Romano on X, O’Neil stated:

“We’re not planning to lose Neto. But there will always be a plan in place.

“The club’s stance will be decided in the summer on who we think we can lose — and what the price needs to be.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Neto has continued to be a key player for Wolves, contributing significantly with two goals and nine assists in 16 Premier League appearances.

He also impressed against Spurs yesterday with a brilliant assist for Joao Gomes that won Wolves the game.
