Will Tottenham get all three points against Brighton? Michael Owen gives his prediction

By Bruce Grove -

Michael Owen has tipped Tottenham to earn a win against Brighton when both teams meet in the Premier League tomorrow.

Spurs suffered a 3-1 home loss to Liverpool in their last match. Even more painful is the fact that they lost Harry Kane to an injury in that game.

The Englishman has been one of their main goalscorers this season, and his absence will be felt by the team.

The likes of Gareth Bale now have the chance to earn a first-team place, but Owen thinks Tanguy Ndombele is the player who will make a difference in a narrow win for the Lilywhites.

The former Liverpool striker admits that Brighton has improved since the start of the year, and will not be easy to beat.

He also knows that Tottenham will miss Kane, but he has enjoyed watching Ndombele and thinks the Frenchman will score to help Spurs beat the Seagulls 2-1.

“Tottenham were outplayed for most of their match against Liverpool on Thursday night,” Owen said as quoted by Brighton and Hove Independent.

“However, they almost got off to a perfect start when Son’s goal was chalked off by VAR – so who knows what might have been.

“Brighton have made a marked improvement since the turn of the year and there is little doubt that they can cause most Premier League sides problems.

“That said, one player that has caught my eye in recent weeks is Tanguy Ndombele. He seems to be playing a little further forward and that has seen a huge uplift in his shots and goals.

“With Harry Kane a doubt, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him scoring in a narrow win for Spurs.”

Depends on which vini turns up. He looked terrible last week no wonder he was subbed at 1/2 time.

Goals are ridiculous again. Standard no marking at set piece and please, somebody tell me what the f%%k Everton were doing for the 2nd?? I mean, you get caught on the break but really?! You got a 4 on 3, and the 3 defenders are all on the left flank, nobody running back they just watch Wilson score, utterly bizarre, but it’s week in week out now.

The more results that go against us the less Jose will trust his defenders so the more defensive he will set up.
