“Why on earth did we sell him?” One Chilling Stat Prompts These Fans To Identify The Player We Never Replaced
By Ron Carne -

After a Mousa Dembele statistic went viral on social media, many Tottenham fans have been busy lambasting his exit.

The 32-year-old spent seven years with Spurs between 2012 and 2019, making 249 appearances for the club.

Injuries often disrupted his spell, but when fit and healthy, the Belgian international was a key figure in the side.

As seen in the tweet below, it’s noted that Tottenham have kept just one clean sheet in the Premier League away from home since Dembele left the club last year.

Given the steeliness and defensive coverage he provided in midfield, it seems as though they haven’t sufficiently replaced that which in turn has seen them struggle to keep things tight on the road.

As seen in the tweets below, that sparked a reaction from some Tottenham fans who are clearly still disappointed over the decision on Spurs and Dembele to part ways.

Great skill & strength , but no urgency going forward & 4 goals in 5 years. Should be 10-12 goals a season. However went down hill after he left. But other players were going over too

Great player.. Every dog has his day though. Persistent injuries littered his last two seasons. So he struggled to regain match fitness and sharpness.. We miss dembele like modric. Tough to replace greatness.

Forget about the football stats the most important stat is the twelve million quid the chairman got for him.
