After back-to-back losses to Crystal Palace and Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur headed into the North London derby against Arsenal FC, looking to get their Premier League season back on the rails.
However, the losing streak continues as Tottenham conceded three goals in the first half as The Gunners put the game out of reach, and Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad couldn’t respond and overcome the three-goal mountain.
Following the match, Nuno spoke to the media, and his message was to the supporters with the Portuguese tactician, making it clear that they will fix the problem that has plagued the squad over the last three fixtures.
“Of course, I have a message. A message that we’re disappointed because today was a special game for all of us, for our fans, and we didn’t achieve the standards that our fans deserve,” Nuno said at his press conference, where Football.London relayed the remarks.
“So my message is I promise we’ll try to fix it. The only message we can say by words. After that, it’s work. What I expect, what I want is a totally different game in the next one.”
Tottenham will have a Europa Conference League match against NŠ Mura this week, and then they’ll have to gear up for a home matchup against Aston Villa. The Lions are coming off an impressive 1-0 victory over Manchester United, so Spurs will have to deal with a squad that’s coming to north London with some confidence.
You can only fix it when you know how to. Nuno, sadly doesn’t have that know how.
Perhaps he could do what I do when faced with a situation like this. Watch a YouTube video…. Always good for some smart arse who knows everything
If I ever say ‘I’ll TRY and do that’ to the wife…well, she calls me out on it!
Indeed Nuno, let’s ‘try our best’, hmmm
“try to fix it”
doesn’t inspire you with confidence
It was men against boys…only it’s half the Arsenal side who qualified as the 19-23 year old boys.
Our experienced men failed miserably.
Empty promises don’t fix anything, there is a lot of deadwood and players who don’t want to be in the club, when Top managers the likes of Jose and Poch couldn’t fix them how Nuno the amateur thinks he can fix them.the only thing that can fix Tottenham is Mr Baldy Levy to leave and takes his hands off the football side of the business unless and until that happens Spurs football team will be abysmal and laughing stock of PL.
