Tottenham has made a fine start to the season, but they were beaten by Liverpool last night.
The Lilywhites headed into the top-of-the-table clash with Liverpool as the leading Premier League team.
They also faced a team that remains the Premier League champions and the Club World Cup champions.
The Reds have some serious injury problems and Spurs did take advantage of the absence of Virgil van Dijk, to score their first goal after Rhys Williams had marginally kept Son Heung-min onside.
Spurs had the best chances in the game and missed them all. Liverpool had possession, but they hardly made anything meaningful from it all night.
Goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were enough for Liverpool to get all three points and the Premier League posted it on their Twitter page.
Spurs fans who knew their team deserved to win commented under the post about the unfair result.
Say what you want but we had the clearer cut chances despite giving up all the possession.

I mean they won because they scored thats how football is, its about who gets that ball in the back of the net, but we cant ignore that #TottenhamHotspur played better football

With Spurs nothing is easy.
Overall the difficult period has been pretty good, if we had beaten Palace as we should have, yesterdays loss would have been less of a problem. Our next run of games are all winnable, Leicester & Wolves probably being the hardest but we are capable of getting max points from them all…add to that two easy cup games and it could see us starting the near year on a positive….
