Watch the Daily Briefing: Liverpool stats should come with a health warning + some worrisome fan engagement

This evening’s game is undoubtedly going to be difficult. Of course, there’s no earthly reason why Tottenham can’t beat Liverpool, however, the numbers available to us heavily suggest otherwise.

Should Spurs be able to rock up to Anfield, and leave with any result better than a loss, then that would be a huge success. If you disagree, then you might be kidding yourself. Klopp’s boys have taken 40 points from the last 42 available to them. Liverpool are unbeaten in 21 home games; scoring 52 goals and conceding just 9 times.

Well we either get something here or you would have to say its all over even if we do beat le arse .
As for Man utd ,what is going on at that club?? sadly it finally might get sorted next season which makes things so much harder for us .

Nice to see Utd putting up such stiff resistance against the … erm Seagulls! … (being shat on from a great height, a rather more accurate description!) … with United resembling Nelson’s column on a bad day!

As for the encounter tonight? Yikes! By every conceivable metric and iota of rationale, we should be stuffed, but then again that is exactly what I thought before the City game away.

In a perverse sort of inversion of logic, any time I feel confident we will turn over one of our top 6 rivals we usually get hammered! Occasionally, from a slough of despond, we upset the odds! Probably not tonight though!

Perhaps Potter wouldn’t be such a bad idea if Conte walks, watching the way they are playing against Utd. As I write this , they have just gone 3-0 up!
