Harry Kane has scored his 54th goal for England and become England’s all-time number-one goalscorer, it is evident from everything about the Spurs man that he absolutely adores playing for his country, and it is fitting that this goal comes in a proper tournament against proper opponents. Some critics may dwell upon the fact that this was ‘another penalty’ but, goodness me, they all count.
