Cristian Romero has been one of Tottenham’s best players so far. He has put in rock solid performances every single game alongside new centre-back partner Micky van de Ven.
He was been given the role of co-vice-captaincy by manager Ange Postecoglou who took over the club in the summer.
And the Argentine has looked a more reliable and aggressive presence at the back ever since he has assumed the new role of a leader.
And his aggression was at display again vs Sheffield during the stunning come back win on Saturday.
The game was a frustrating one for most part as the away side proved to be a difficult team to break down. And their time wasting tactics throughout the game didn’t bode well with Spurs either.
After Tottenham scored two in two to turn the game around, the players were fully charged up.
In the dying moments of the game, Emerson Royal won a header, and Romero emphatically cleared the ball as the final whistle blew.
Both Romero and Royal celebrated aggressively in the face of the Sheffield United players.
