Watch all Spurs goals and assists against Leicester City

By The Boy -

Conte has his work cut out with this lot, but then I guess he realized that a few weeks into the season. The decision to bench Kulu over Moura was puzzling, to put it mildly. Giving the Swede the last 38 minutes of the game spoke at some volume about the Italian’s second thoughts.

Looking at these clips, it would be easy to wonder what rooms there were for concern. Perhaps we should discuss this.

Harry Kane’s goal, including Sonny’s assist.

Sonny’s brace

Kukusevski’s assists

Kane and Son team? Nonsense. What about our world cup winning Captain Hugo? Romero has been more consistent than anyone. New signing Koolio also deserves credit for where we are. We’re in a completely different place already. Conte had just took over, Dele, Ndom, Winks and Gio were all starting. Kane wanted out.. We were a mess 6 months ago.

We will run the Scouse close I believe.. Their geggenpressing actually plays in to our hands.. Son is at his best counter attacking. We just need Son and Kane to turn up….. It’s a straw man argument pointing at other results, anyone can beat anyone in our league… Brentford smashed the Chavski Champions League holders 4-1, these results happen in football, they mean nothing for other games.. It wouldn’t be wise to bet your house on any game.

Exactly right.. It’s a big IF.. And the Scouse are the biggest test.. But it’s all in the players hands now.. Win the next two and we go above.. Chelsea must also be looking over their shoulders too. Stranger things have happened.. Like Jols bad Lasagne..

This is why I said we need Son and Kane to be on form. If they go missing then we have nothing up top… There is no fluke in getting top 4 after 38 games.. Especially considering where we were when Conte took over.

We got the first goal, that seems to be key to the way Conte sets up. It’s mostly counter attack. We don’t sit in as low a block as we did under Jose and the movement of the ball is quicker (when it’s done properly). However, his unwillingness to get us to press more when needed has cost us points this season. without a doubt. Without him though we’d be in an even worse state!

If that happens I’ll run down Tottenham High road in just my boxers.
We’re not remotely good enough to get top 4. At the moment we’d get dumped out of the ropey too. This years conference League? A competition nearly all said we would win with ease. How did that go?
We’re mutton dressed as lamb. Kane and Son Hotspur.

You seriously think we have a hope of beating Liverpool in their own back yard. We have two hopes. Bob & No. We might shade the NLD but I wouldn’t bet my house on it.

Yannited stuffed Brentford last night and they’re in total meltdown on & off the pitch. We didn’t muster a single shot on goal against them.

Finish 4th and all that does is paper over another giant crack.

Their final games are winnable, although the game at Newcastle could potentially be a banana skin even if the Geordies have nothing to play for.

IF we finish 4th it will almost certainly because we got some sort of result against Liverpool, won the NLD and then didn’t crumble in the last 2 games.

I’d say if al that happens maybe a bit of credit where it’s due!

You seem to be forgetting the two games prior to yesterday those same players, make that the whole team didn’t muster a single shot on goal.

f we finish 4th it’ll be a fluke. It won’t be anything to do with world beating players.

I agree Arse are favourites, but can you really see them winning all their remaining games?

Its not over just yet (but it will be if they beat us)

Couldn’t see the game, but seems like same old. Leicester rested players, have nothing to play for in the league, and didn’t try to stop us playing as much as Brighton and Brentford, so we got several decent goals and looked quite competent overall.

Still, I loved seeing Romero’s tackle ahead of the second goal, and Son’s strike. Good stuff!

Can we do something against Pool? If memory serves, our last win there was ten years ago, with vdV and Modric scoring under Redknapp.

I remember several games where we did quite well there, but still ended up with nothing (a 3-2 loss when Verts scored twice or the loss under Jose in which we hit the woodwork at 1-1; or who could forget Sissoko’s 2v1 counter run, which ended with him sending the ball into the Mersey).

Would love to beat them, but can’t really see that happening. We’re too shaky when there’s pressure.

Would be just like us to pick off Liverpool on the break and then lose to Burnley at home (or even more likely, at the already relegated Norwich).

Take nothing away from Son, but Bale was doing this every other week in AVB’s first season.

Shame what became of him in the end. (Yes, he won it all, but he’s been on the periphery for years now, which is criminal given his ability.)

Son is our player of the season by an absolute country mile.

Kulu and Romero could have rivalled him if they’d played all season…and Kane would have rivalled him if he wasn’t on semi-strike until Conte arrived.

Leeds are in Everton’s position this weekend – lose and they’re probably down looking at their other fixtures

Can’t see us getting 4th now. We really need to win at Anfield on Saturday while Arsenal are at home to Leeds. Are we really going to win at Anfield? Quite unlikely.

The absolute garbage I have had to read about a Spurs side who came out to play a Leicester side which had played in a semi final of European Competition on the Thursday and had made 6 to 8 changes ( in all honesty I cannot remember ) prior to playing Spurs.
I loved the win but this is our level beating bottom eight teams or team still battling in Europe , you know like West Ham ..ffs nauseating isn’t it ..
AFC will lose twice so will we and we we will draw with them at home..
of course it will be Conte s fault not donkey Kane who turned up post Jan ..not MerlotLoris who gifted 2 goals to Wolves ..not in the cusp of England Dier who contributed 2 goals when Ronaldo beat us 3 -0.Still Skipp on the treatment table for 3+ months has been offered a 5 year year contract having not kicked a ball in anger for some 12 week . Why ?
Likewise the wasp in a jar Sess I’d
s about to be offered a new contract for what eactly?

Lloris and Romero were key again at the back. A couple of great saves from Cap, especially the one he flicked on to the post.. Romero is the destroyer of worlds. He has the CB and RB area on lockdown.. Everyone else at the back were shaky, also the midfield were shaky.. The front three Kane, Koolio and Sonny were all great. Sons left foot 20 odd yards was a nice goal.. We need Son and Kane to be on it against the Dippers and Gooners.. Big matches, time to step up and prove they are big match players.. Both games will be tight, fine margins, so we will need our top goalscorers to be clinical.

Son was great…Moura is average as a first 11 but ok as a sub…you can almost tell which teams we will play ok against, Liverpool will be fun but we will do ok on the counter…the Brighton game will cost us top four probably..

Only watched MOTD and yes it’s only highlights. But ! we got out of jail in that first half. Our sloppy defending ( Davies) but their even more sloppy finishing saved us.

Do the same against the bin dippers next W’end will be a different story.

Nice highlights. Leicester played open from what I can see, which suited our style.

Sonny’s second was a thing of beauty. Definitely a goal of the season candidate.
