Dele Alli badly needed a goal, and he came up with one when Tottenham Hotspur required one just as desperately.
Staring a home defeat to bottom-of-the-table Watford in the face, our 23-year-old capitalised on a mix-up in the Hornets defence to score an 86th-minute equaliser, after a nervy VAR check for handball.
Picture a cash grab machine with an awkward looking loser inside it.
Forever.
Time-wasting expert Ben Foster was slapped in the face by karma as he bumped into Kiko Femenia in the box, and Alli did well to keep the loose ball down on the half-volley to rescue Spurs a fortunate point.
Watford claimed that Dele controlled the ball with his arm, and there was a certain element of bicep in the midfielder’s first touch.
Watch the video below and make a decision for yourself.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli strikes late to level up the scores and after a VAR review, the goal is given.

Dele’s first goal since January, which cancelled out Abdoulaye Doucoure’s early strike for Watford, will hopefully get the 23-year-old going again.
