This is another player that has been strongly linked with a whole host of top-flight sides, most recently Manchester United… and Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs’ midfield has essentially been a significant focus or concern ever since Mousa Dembele eventually departed for Southeast Asia. Quite how this entirely predictable piece of change management was missed by the THFC board (please, no laughing at the back).
Is the 22-year-old what Spurs need right now? A cynic might suggest that “right now” is a frequently redundant piece of phraseology when it comes to Tottenham transfers, but van de Beek looks every inch the great prospect.
Surely a side with such an immaculate infrastructure would have such a player very high on their wish list?
No chance although he is the sort of player we should be signing. De Ligt is probably for sale as are a lot of players in the Spanish and Italian leagues. Time for a real innovator and demon in the transfer market to strike, it could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, Oh hang on , we ‘ve got Levy. There is a great photo of Levy in today’s Sunday Times next to Ron Liddle’s article in which he described Levy’s actions as “revolting”. This will never be forgotten and Enic won’t like the brand being damaged which is what Levy has singlehandedly done. Ta ta to the naming rights Levy!
No chance he’ll come to “Linked With FC”, as somebody on 5Live described Tottenham Hotspur FC.
This guy will go to one of the big boys like his two mates, De Ligt and De Jong. Champions League is the minimum requirement and at present we are not getting there.
