For the first time in history, Spurs top the table, and Arsenal take on the role of the Premier League’s draft excluder.
Spurs made heavy weather of a Watford side that carries far too many deadbeats.
Spurs are tighter at the back, but the inability to routinely cross a ball has become infuriating. We look great, top of the table, looking down on creation, but the reality is that we are waiting to get hurt by a better side.
Not a game for the footballing purists out there, but in the past, this is where we have routinely dropped points, so we are, in fact, advancing under Nuno, and quite aggressively.

I think we are more likely to come unstuck against teams that sit in, mainly because we don’t have a playmaker in the team. We could easily have drawn 0-0 with Watford and I see more frustration ahead this season in that regard.
The transfer window was completely inadequate at addressing the squad issues it was yet another ‘sideways’ window…
I am here!
Now you’re just confusing me. HH. Are you here or not ? I stopped checking in here a few weeks ago. I look in and here you are. 🤷🏻♂️
Maybe we are just getting a little bit of luck so far. But we are well overdue for that. We have played Man City and while lots of us thought we would be slaughtered we won.
3 clean sheets is maybe the price we will pay for not banging in more goals. I’ll take that.
“Draft excluder😂😂 your killing me out here😂
“but the reality is that we are waiting to get hurt by a better side.” …sums us up perfectly.
But I am pleased to see more movement and quicker passing – Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Went to the match, maybe it was the pre game beverages talking but I actually enjoyed it, thought we were popping it around quite nicely, no dilly-dallying and a minimum of sideways and backwards.
On a side note, despite all the hoo-ha about the NHS pass being required, I didn’t have to show it once.
Go COVID!
