Tottenham picked up where they left off in their Premier League season, and that is by conceding a goal first.
They were trailing just 15 minutes into the game after Janelt gave Brentford the lead and they held on to the lead in the first half.
Soon into the second half, they doubled that lead after a Dier mistake led to a corner. And Spurs’ zonal marking system was an utter mess as Toney was given ample of space to convert from the corner make it 2-0.
But Harry Kane has given Spurs hope of a comeback with a superb header from a Lenglet cross. Will they be able to pull off yet another late comeback?
