Video Evidence: It Is Mourinho That Has Finally Made Kane Irresistible To World Football

By The Boy -

These goals were beautifully set up, but it takes a certain type of footballing predator to exploit the opportunity.

Harry again was the epitome of a team player – which is something that is routinely ignored by the anti-Mourinho mob.

One cannot argue with Kane’s extraordinary evolution under the Portuguese. Something that makes me question the narrative of the white-noise brigade.

When José told Harry in his office that he would help him explode how many of us thought that would just mean more goals? You can put my name down on that list. Mourinho was talking about making Kane utterly irresistible to world football. It is implausible/ridiculous to overlook or diminish this fact.

It seems his man management was formed during a different era of football. This is a different generation and you can go on about them being snowflakes all you like, However unless you get it right you will lose them. It’s just the same as wider society, sensibilities change priorities change. There are players from the 60s that would be getting sent off every single game if they played in the 90s. Things change and you have to adapt, in any profession.

That is because he has lost the players at those clubs, a pattern he is repeating here it appears.

Shouldn’t we have a midfielder who can create chances for others and score a decent percentage of goals already without Kane having to do that extra work, which also applies to defending our goal ?

It’s not the fact that he is brilliant at everything he does, he is unbelievable, but he is doing the work others should be capable of, which tells me that our midfield is not good enough .

Harry has played deeper (Poch had Harry’s ave postition not the most forward play on numerous occasions). Jose’s system has partly played in Harry delivering that role and Harry has delivered with the assist without a big drop off to his own scoring stats.

“My understanding of a joke is that they supposed to be funny”

Oh come on now Danny, you’ve fallen into the trap of sounding like you believe yourself to be the oracle for what is and isn’t funny. It’s personal.

That a commentator wouldn’t say that is because any TV presenter is expected to pander to the most sensitive viewers they have. You know, including the ones who write angry letters in green ink who don’t like that Kier’s photo was on screen 5 seconds longer than Boris’s and thus proves a typical BBC left wing bias.

I’m not convinced 2 bob footy blogs carry the same expectations, or should.

Fair point. Although he was hardly seemed sought after during his year working with Sky.

That was pre-Covid remember and if he’s sacked from Spurs that will be his 3rd p45 in a row.

He’s being canny this time, he’s carefully putting it out there that the players aren’t made of the right stuff rather than the full ‘toys out the pram’ behaviour we’ve seen before.

He’s quite obviously carrying out damage limitation to his already slightly sullied reputation. He and Levy have had words, this will be all over in the summer…

I think we all know your first point is true. I think expecting everyone to never mention Hitler in analogies or any context is a tad extreme, but everyone’s entitled to an opinion.

That you regard Aitch’s use of Hitler in a analogy as an example of his making a direct association between Hitler and you is just not accurate, though I understand you’re sensitive to it and I respect that.

Jewish people (I’m not, I know plenty) have been making jokes involving Hitler for quite some time. But in any case, what is an appropriate subject matter for humour has long been contentiously discussed and is still quite obviously a matter of personal taste rather than a universal certainty.

I do hope you continue to think this through and realise that what he wrote wasn’t aimed at you personally but just in very bad taste from your perspective, which no one can argue with.

I enjoy your posts. do keep em coming.

Sorry to ask do you believe that Harry knew that you are Jewish? and he said it deliberately cause that is how you come across or you saying Harry has to assume everybody in here is Jewish which is wrong assumption I guess or you just want Harry to apologise to you no matter what by saying Hitler?

Football is crazy business who knows may be back to Inter Milan after Conte or Atletico Madrid after Simeone since he lives in London there is 3 teams left for him Arsenal Westham, Fulham may be England Manager for that matter or he may be a natural successor of Pochettino where ever he leaves and end up in PSG after Pochettino is anyone’s guess I learnt in football you never say never.

By the way; the first two sentences of your reply are a perfect description of why Aitch’s analogy works.

Serious question: If Aitch had said ‘Next you’ll be telling me Stalin was good at wallpapering’, or ‘the Yorkshire Ripper was good at foreplay’ would that have made you equally as upset?

Is the problem Hitler, or the use of anybody abhorrent in an analogy or humorous context?

Just a question to put out there; Jose was out of work for a whole year before he took the Spurs job so hardly jaded. However having been ejected twice before that, what top club would employ him if he left us?

He’d always want to come come deep but back when Dele was of real use he didn’t need to as much. Dele would make those off the ball runs into the box with Kane doing his work higher up the pitch.

It seems now he’s required to release the pace merchants from deep and get on the end of whatever they put into the box. It’s counter attacking football, which is fine but there seems to be no plan B or variation.

Kane is looking extra multifunctional but as a team we are worse off…

Danny, you haven’t helped me with context at all. Using one of the most notorious murderers known for being an amateur painter as the subject for an analogy to make a point about sidestepping a key issue to talk up a less important one, makes complete sense with regards to constructing an analogy, but makes little sense with regard to any notion of a personal attack on you.

You seem genuinely upset. Can you break it down? Are you saying that Hitler should never be used in conversation, or used in an analogy, or in jokes?

To a part time defensive midfielder? This ‘all hands to the pump’, off the ball tactics isn’t without its merits but there’s far too much of that and not enough guile and comfort on the ball.

I believe we have the players to do that but not a manager that is an advocate of it. If the balance was better we’d be doing far better, I’m scratching my head as to why a manager with his experience is unable to balance this…

Off topic I just heard there’s a comedy event, a test event with no socialist distancing or certifcates of vax in Liverpool…but you have to get tested before AND after?!? Absolute weaponry, what’s the point of getting vaccinated again? This is how football will be, a not fit for purpose intrusion before AND after just to go out and have a life. Cobblers.

HH I understand your point and know I’m not against Mourinho and can’t deny his status but to be fair we did not hire Jose to expand Kane’s role point being before Jose Kane was world class player and won the golden boots in the PL and World Cup and the one thing he was missing was a trophy if Jose provides that he has every right to be given credit less than that there is no point to credit him anything as I put the statistics I put above by comparing him and Pochettino in their last 30 games they don’t seem that far different and until the season finishes I hold my judgment of Mourinho in Spurs cheers.

Pochattino’s last 30 games: won:11 lost:12 draw:7 scored:42 conceded:35 total points:45, Mourinho’s last 30 games won:14 lost:9 Drawn:7 scored:51 conceded:32 total points:49 that is facts I think the problem of Spurs is there is no accountability from Levy to Mourinho to Sanchez and Dier there must be a mechanism of accountability to hold everybody in the club from top to bottom accountable for their shortcomings and rewarded for their success it seems Spurs a team that anyone in the club can do behave act as he or she wills with no consequences to follow we must root out that habit starting from Levy by hiring and firing as he pleases and giving himself a wage raise while he was the mastermind of the heavy debt that the club is in with no one holding him accountable and no consequence for his recklessness cheers.

‘Elite’ managers don’t often create great player from mediocre players, the raw material has to be there, but they get more out of ones who can step up by the systems they play. Van Dijk and Lovren played under the same manager at another club, the improvements were not equal nor the talent.

Talent and hardwork, that’s Harry’s calling card. A good few of our players have one but lack the other.

Several have neither talent or hardwork in their lockers.

“Fascinating analysis – next you’ll be telling us what a great painter Adolf Hitler was.” This was your reply to one of my posts.

I think this is a wholly inappropriate and disgusting comment.

You know nothing about me or my family and whilst replying to me about a comment i made about football your reply is this?

Shameful absolutely shameful, considering there is a big Jewish contingent of Tottenham fans how you can think i would have this view point is appalling.

You do a piece on Sanchez and racist abuse and then you spout this.

I appreciate its your blog but you should no better than throwing around there comments. Quite frankly disgusting.
