Dele Alli may well have had the wind put up him by his continued exclusion from the England squad, as this showing against a Championship side was far closer to what is expected from the boy, than we’ve seen for some time.

In this clip, Dele is doing precisely what’s needed from a player in his position, looking for moments when he can pressure opponents… the pass to Son could’ve easily resulted in a goal on any other day.
Dele’s passing accuracy was 78% which is his best since June (over comparative minutes) against West Ham United.
Long balls are usually hit and miss for the 24-year-old, with his all-time average be 53%.
Sure, it was only Reading, but I’m looking for effort and on that front, his 62 minutes in the shirt were a success.
Here’s that goal, in case you missed it.

Thats the way to do it mate. Problem is I live with my elderly gran and severely handicapped uncle so am still self isolating.. Would rather not kill them if I can help it 👍
There was an almost telepathic connection at their best but yeah, Poch playing the two further apart didn’t help.
For a little while it looked like Kane and Alli would be the first two names on the england team sheet too. They were that good for a season.
I think a tenners a fair price (shared between friends)
I wondered how JM was so successful I always took it that he pointed out players and his bosses signed them but he is a wily old fox. I think he is really enjoying this job if only our star buy would buy in but I fear it is over for him.
Didn’t help that as poch played him deeper he wasn’t up there supporting Kane and didn’t play his natural game. Poch played him out of position at the end and it didn’t help either. Now he’s playing more advanced again, we should see him getting back in the goals and assists.
I hope this is a good sign of what he might produce this season although it was against lower opposition.
I have been a big critic of his recent attitude and if he can get back to his form of 2 years ago,I am happy to be proved wrong as we need that swashbuckling style back.
How can you tell he’s grown a moustache?
It’s always amused me that people who have very sparce facial hair growth persist assuming that suddenly they will be a picture of glorious hirsuteness.
Dele’s grown a moustache which we all know means he’s a fully matured grown man now.
I fully expect to see Dele the man this season or he’ll be sold to Watford.
Jose’s had enough of nice boy Dele.
I don’t know ,I tuned in to a youtube channel for the commentary only and the guy watching the game was telling anyone who wanted to watch it how to go about it. Ten min highlights and goals were shown on youtube after the game finished. I watched the Ipswich game on YouTube.
That’s clever man. Do they bombard you with all their gambling rubbish? If so id rather pay the tenner
Round up a few of the boys and all chip in man. Or pay for it and let them bring round cans of the black stuff🌚 wish I could but I’m up a ladder again😔
Ain’t that the truth
One of the betting companies had it on their channel, you had to put £5 in credit in to sign up,then you could have withdrawn it after the game,or leave it in in case they show anymore.
He always had the potential to have more of an impact on the team than Kane but so far he’s cruised at a level below his best.
There’s still a class player in there somewhere.
I was going to watch this match. They are showing all pre season matches on spurs tv.. A tenner a pop though… If they would have charged a fiver a match then I would be watching them all.. I’m sure many others would have too… 50 quid for 5 pre season friendlies 😳 Assuming Levy sorts all prices for everything out. Not everyone has vaults of gold you know scrooge this used to be a working mans game before greedy vultures took over.
Been waiting for this, we need the old Dele back.
I’d pay dele to consistently prove me wrong.
