‘Unsure of the severity of damage’ : Spurs duo become latest victims of hamstring injuries; O Keefe confirms it

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur continue to struggle with injuries as they enter into the second half of the season.

A substantial 20 players from the Spurs’ squad have encountered injuries at various points throughout the season, with a notable emphasis on hamstring-related issues.

It is now being reported that Giovani Lo Celso and Ben Davies are the latest victims of hamstring injuries.

Paul O Keefe shared an update earlier today, revealing that the duo have sustained hamstring issues, with their expected availability remains unknown.

The Welsh defender has been proven to be a top-class utility player, playing a huge role in the absence of Micky van de Ven.

He played the full 90 minutes in each of Tottenham’s last eight Premier League matches and barely put a foot wrong.

Lo Celso, too, has been a valuable player for Spurs, displaying solid performances in the absence of James Maddison. His injury will leave Ange another man short in the midfield, with Sarr and Bissouma already unavailable due to AFCON.

Meanwhile, Ben Davies’ absence will also be a blow for Ange, but Radu Dragusin’s arrival is a source of encouragement for the manager, offering him an extra defensive option to rely on.

Micky van de Ven is also expected to return to action this week, while Romero is not too far off either.

With two signings already secured, Tottenham Hotspur are gradually on the path to recovery, with several key players nearing their return to action.
