“Unlikely to play for us again” – Ange confirms Spurs ace may have already played his last game for the club

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Ivan Perisic has already played his last game for Spurs.

Ivan Perisic’s contract is set to expire in the summer, but his career in North London looks to be over.

Spurs correspondent for the Athletic, Charlie Eccleshare, reported the news following Ange Postecoglou’s recent comment.

When asked about the possibility of Perisic playing before the end of the campaign, the Australian manager responded as follows:

“No, he’s working hard to be fair to Ivan… But yeah, he won’t – he’s unlikely to play for us again.”

Ivan Perisic has been out of action since September due to a complex ACL injury which he suffered during training.

The injury required a surgery which sidelined him for 5 to 6 months, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of the current season.

The winger is said to be returning to his native country in the summer, where he will likely reunite with his boyhood club, Hajduk Split.

His illustrious career has saw him feature for some powerhouse clubs like Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Borussia Dortmund, winning major trophies including the Champions League and multiple league championships
