The BBC’s Dan Roan has breaking news that the Premier League and the Football League have unanimously voted to temporarily halt English football in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic that has been sweeping the nation.
What is now taking place, is a meeting with representatives of all the football clubs, in which they will be urged to follow suit. The outcome of that meeting is expected to follow this morning.
Sporting events have been dropping like flies all morning and the sheer volume of cancellations is difficult to track precisely at this stage, but this summary gives one an overview: Mikel Arteta & test positive.
