Troy Parrott wanted in Championship loan deal which could be just what he needs

By Rob S -

Troy Parrott looks special. Both on paper – six goals in four UEFA Youth League games, plus a senior Ireland cap aged just 17. And in the flesh – a well-built, confident striker who looks bursting to take any opportunity he gets.

But those opportunities have been very limited, despite an injury to Harry Kane and two youngster-friendly FA Cup games against Middlesbrough.

Parrott is only 17, but one feels he would benefit so much from regular first-team football.

And according to the MailOnline, Charlton Athletic could be set to offer him just that as they are eyeing up a loan move.

The Mail claim that Charlton are strong contenders to take Parrott to the Championship for the rest of the season.

Surely Spurs will only sanction such a deal if they sign another forward themselves…

Very true. Levy isn’t interested in football, never has been. Abramovic is the same, but he spends money to launder it out of Russia…

Future of football will be pre match videos of players and managers slating each other, calling each other out like boxing, some teams will be heroes and other villians. Levy ahead of the PR game at the cost of being behind the actual game.

Owen too, just depends. I think a loan and regular competitive games would be useful. Then again I’m not a coach.

Lol. It’s like WWE to levy, no one gives a hoot about the action as long as the behind the scenes drama is entertainment. If you wanted to watch a sports documentary on a well run successful club you will watch the cardinals Amazon doc, or the city one, levy going for the soap opera approach.

Maureen did say that 17 yrs old is too young for a loan, he is a baby, more likely to be loaned out around 21 ish if needed, so he wants him developing with us at the minute….. This is wasting talent really. Nothing beats competition game time for developing. And some lads are ready at 16 really each case should be different… Either play him, or loan him so he can flourish.. It seems we will do neither.

Which is another mystery as to why Levy hired him. It has to be a short term thing, a marriage of convenience?

Jose has no interest in developing anyone.

Shame Zlatan wasn’t available, reckon he’d have lead the line well enough for half a season.

Too young for Jose, in fact 17 is too young for most Prem managers. Plus, Jose knows if he plays him he doesn’t get the 6’6 brick privvy he yearns for…

If he was going to get game time surely now would be that time ? Jose clearly not convinced so loan him out
