Tottenham will now face competition from Arsenal for 10-goal forward

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Besiktas attacker Semih Kilicsoy for weeks.

It appears that they will face competition from other Premier League rivals now. According to a report from Sabah via SportWitness, Arsenal and Manchester City have now entered the race for the 18-year-old attacker.

Kilicsoy has been in impressive form this season, scoring 10 goals across all competitions. He has the attributes to develop into a quality striker with the right guidance. Tottenham chose not to replace Harry Kane at the start of the season but it is evident that they need to bring in a quality striker.

The 18-year-old could be a long-term acquisition for them and he could share the goalscoring burden with the likes of Son Heung-min and Richarlison. The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be a tempting proposition for the youngster and he will look to test himself at a higher level.

Tottenham are currently pushing for Champions League qualification and they will be an attractive destination for most players.

Meanwhile, Arsenal need attacking depth as well. Gabriel Jesus has not been able to score both consistently and they need alternatives. The 18-year-old would be a long term investment for both North London clubs.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Several other European heavyweights like Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Napoli are keeping tabs on his situation as well and the two English clubs will have to move quickly if they want to win the race for his signature.
