Tottenham wants relegated star but face stiff Premier League competition

By Bruce Grove -

Joachim Andersen has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham after his fine season on loan at Fulham in the last campaign.

The Dane was one of the Cottagers’ best players last season. Even though they were relegated from the Premier League, he proved his worth with some inspiring performances for the London club.

His fine performance in England means Lyon looks set to make some good money when they cash in on him this summer.

The 25-year-old remains a target for several other Premier League clubs and The Sun reports that Tottenham is facing competition from the likes of Chelsea, Leicester City and Crystal Palace for his signature.

The report says Tottenham has been watching him since his time at Sampdoria earlier in his career.

Andersen visited Tottenham when he was a Sampdoria player and he could yet make Spurs his new home.

Tottenham wants a new defender as they continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.

The Dane is one of their top targets and Fabio Paratici could make him one of the first signings for Nuno Espirito Santo.

The report says Lyon spent around £25million to sign him in 2019 and they want to make at least that much if he eventually leaves them in this transfer window.

Seemingly THFC have been linked with about 5/6 defenders already this window. (Oh, what is anyone to believe?)
So Messrs. Levy & Paratici, make your minds up & get whoever he/they may be, in now. Please.
