Tottenham want to sign German international who has a surprisingly low valuation

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham is looking to sign Germany international Robin Koch as they look to bolster their team for next season.

This report is coming from Bild via GGFN, who claimed that Jose Mourinho’s side is looking to land the defender as a replacement for Juan Foyth.

Foyth has struggled to impress Jose Mourinho, and he looks set to get a new home before next season starts.

The Argentinean has attracted attention from a number of teams and he could be heading to Inter Milan (PassionInter), making way for Koch.

Koch has told Freiburg that he will not be renewing his contract with them as he eyes playing for another team.

He is still contracted with them until 2023, but they might be forced to cash in on him to avoid his value dropping any further, which currently stands at 14.5 million euros on Transfermarkt.

Spurs are not the only team that wants to sign Koch according to the same report with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, also interested in signing him. The former even had a bid for him rejected in the last transfer window.

Foyth isn’t the only defender that Spurs could lose at the end of this season. Jan Vertonghen is also leaving after seeing out his contract with the Lilywhites.

Koch is 23, and he has already played 31 league games for Freiburg this season.

Don’t know why they want somebody to replace a guy who hardly ever played and underwhelmed when he did.
