Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has been excellent for the Italian club, and his performances have attracted the attention of Liverpool and Aston Villa as well. Multiple clubs are keeping tabs on his progress, and he could be available for a fee of around €30-35 million in the summer.
According to a report from JuveFC, Tottenham are monitoring his situation, and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official offer to sign the player.
Morten Frendrup could be an upgrade on Bissouma
They could use a quality defensive midfielder, and the Denmark International could be the ideal addition. He could prove to be an upgrade on Yves Bissouma, who has been quite underwhelming.
The Mali International is expected to leave Tottenham in the summer, and he will need to be replaced adequately. The Denmark midfielder has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, and he could add a new dimension to the Tottenham midfield. Apart from his defensive contribution, he will add physicality and drive to the side as well.
The 24-year-old is an expert when it comes to breaking up opposition attacking moves, and his reading of the game will help Tottenham tighten up at the back as well. According to stats from WhoScored, the Denmark international midfielder is averaging 3.1 tackles per game in Serie A this season.
He has been praised by Alberto Gilardino for his relentless work rate as well.
“He runs 12-13 km per game”, Gilardino said in May.
“He never gets tired and has room for significant improvement.”
Liverpool keen on the Genoa star as well

Liverpool are keen on the player as well, and it is no surprise. They need an upgrade on Wataru Endo, and a defensive midfielder will help them improve further. Both clubs could use the tough-tackling Danish International, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
The reported asking price is quite affordable for a club like Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince the player to join the club.
