Tottenham transfer plans could be handed a boost by Chelsea owners

Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The 26-year-old Colombian defender was heavily criticised for his error-prone performances last season and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can offload him before the summer transfer window closes.

Sanchez has not been able to live up to the expectations since his big-money move from Ajax and it makes sense for Tottenham to cash in on him.

He is unlikely to get regular game time at Tottenham next season and the summer exit would be ideal for all parties.

According to a report from Daily Mail, French outfit Strasbourg are keen on signing the 26-year-old this summer.

Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake recently acquired the French club and it seems that the Blues’ owners could now hand Tottenham a major boost in the transfer market.

The funds from the departure of Sanchez will certainly help Tottenham sign new players and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can come to an agreement soon.

Strasbourg need to improve their squad this summer and Sanchez could be a useful acquisition for them.

There is no doubt that the 26-year-old could be an important player for the French outfit if he manages to regain his confidence and sharpness.

Regular football in France could be ideal for the player right now and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are looking to bring defensive reinforcements themselves and the proceeds from the sale of Sanchez will help them and their preferred targets.
