Tottenham to compete with five other PL clubs for 21-year-old midfield prodigy

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Ajax midfielder Kenneth Taylor.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder has established himself as a key player for the Dutch outfit and he could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition for the north London club as well.

A report from Team Talk claims that Tottenham could face competition from clubs like Aston Villa, Brighton, Newcastle, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Tottenham need more depth in the middle of the park and the 21-year-old would be the ideal acquisition for them. It remains to be seen whether they can fend off the competition from their other Premier League rivals and sign the player.

The likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have been linked with moves away from the club and Spurs will have to bring in adequate replacements. Taylor could be the ideal alternative to the Denmark international midfielder.

The 21-year-old is highly rated in Europe and he has the potential to develop into a top-class Premier League midfielder with coaching and guidance. He could sort out the Spurs midfield for the foreseeable future and this arrival would allow Ange Postecoglou to rotate his midfield options more often.

The 21-year-old certainly has the attributes to succeed in the Premier League and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham. It remains to be seen whether the north London outfit can agree on a reasonable fee for him in the coming weeks.
