Tottenham will accept offer for midfielder who has no future under Ange Postecoglou

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham are gearing up for a summer overhaul, with surplus squad players facing the exit door, and one notable departure on the horizon is midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, currently on loan at Galatasaray.

The Frenchman’s tenure at the Turkish club has been disappointing since he arrived on a season-long loan deal in September last year, which included an option for a permanent transfer.

Reports from Turkish outlets suggest that Galatasaray’s decision not to pursue a permanent deal for Ndombele has paved the way for his departure this summer.

Tottenham are now open to entertaining offers for the Frenchman, should any suitors emerge in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Tottenham will entertain potential offers for the 27-year-old if any suitors emerge in the upcoming transfer window.

On the latest edition of Football Insider’s podcast, O’Rourke expressed his belief that Ndombele has no future at North London and is unlikely to feature for the club again.

Ndombele has been a disappointment since joining Spurs

Since he arrived from Lyon in 2019 for a hefty transfer fee of €62 million, Ndombele has struggled to meet expectations, featuring in 91 matches for Spurs and tallying 10 goals along with 9 assists.

The loan stint in Turkey hasn’t been successful either for the former Napoli midfielder, having made 25 appearances for Galatasaray this season across all competitions but has only managed to play 656 minutes on the field.

With less than 15 months remaining on Ndombele’s contract with the Lilywhites, set to expire in June of the following year, Tottenham would aim to offload him while recouping some transfer fee.
