Tottenham target signs up with London agency, ‘wants to go to the Premier League’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Denmark international defender Victor Nelsson.

The 25-year-old central defender has been linked with the move to the Premier League club (h/t Takvim) for a while and a report from Tipsbladet claims that the player has now changed his agents and has signed up with a London-based agency and ‘he wants to go to the Premier League’.

The recent development will certainly come as a boost for Tottenham if they are still keen on signing the player.

It is no secret that Tottenham need to add more quality and depth through the defensive unit and the 25-year-old could be a useful acquisition. He has struggled for regular game time at Galatasaray this season and moving away from the club in January would be ideal for all parties.

Tottenham are lacking in depth in the defensive department and the injury to Micky Van de Ven has worsened the situation. Tottenham must prioritise the signing of a central defender in January if they want to do well during the second half of the campaign.

They have started the season well and there is no reason why they cannot qualify for the Champions League with the right additions in January.

Nelsson has the quality to be a useful player for Tottenham in the Premier League and the opportunity to showcase his qualities in English football will be an attractive proposition for the player as well.
