Tottenham summer signing set to be loaned out next season

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur’s young forward signing from last summer, Alejo Veliz, left the club earlier this year in January, moving to Sevilla on loan until the end of the season.

However, despite his transfer in search of more game time, Veliz hasn’t seen much improvement in his situation.

Since joining Sevilla, the 20-year-old Argentine has made only four appearances in La Liga, totalling a mere 29 minutes on the pitch, failing to significantly improve his situation.

Tottenham were left upset by the La Liga club’s treatment of their striker, with the club being accused of not standing by their promise of giving Veliz the opportunity to play.

According to the latest report from The Times ,Spurs are going to send the 20-year-old on loan once again next season.

The North London club’s objective is to aid in the development of the Argentina U20 international’s talent through additional loan spells before integrating him fully into the squad.

Among the potential suitors for Veliz’s services on loan is Bournemouth, who have expressed interest in securing his temporary services.

Veliz has scored 21 goals in his 77 career appearances so far, showcasing his potential, which led to Tottenham investing in him last summer, signing him from Rosario Central for a fee of approximately €15 million.
