Tottenham summer signing is not happy with his current situation and wants a January exit

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham summer signing, Alejo Veliz, is reportedly seeking a loan move to Bologna during the upcoming transfer window due to his dissatisfaction with limited game time at Spurs.

Tottenham secured the services of Veliz from Rosario Central for a reported fee of £13 million back in the summer.

The 20-year-old South American is considered as a highly rated young striker which is why Spurs secured his services as an investment for the future.

However, according to Corriere dello Sport, the 20-year-old South American is reportedly sad about the sparse opportunities he’s had at Tottenham so far.

Bologna who were interested in signing him in the summer have made him their ‘top target’ for the striker position.

The report says that the player would jump at the chance to join the Italian side if he gets the green light from Tottenham.

Spurs who are currently undergoing an injury crisis, have seen Richarlison undergo pelvic surgery, while Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon remain sidelined with long-term injuries.

This leaves Spurs with Johnson, Son, and Kulusevski as the current attacking options. These injuries have offered Veliz an opportunity to gain first-team experience with Spurs.

The North London club are linked with another attacker in January. If they do sign one, loaning out Veliz could be a good option.

He would gain valuable experience and regular playing time which would aide his development.

Whether Ange sanctions a loan move for him in January remains to be seen.
