Tottenham star to hold showdown talks with manager as club prepares new bid

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to the latest reports from ESPN, Bayern Munich are preparing a third bid for Tottenham Hotspur’s star striker, Harry Kane.

The potential offer is rumored to be in the range of €100 million (£85 million).

Bayern Munich’s previous two bids for Kane were both rejected by Spurs, with the latest bid amounting to £70 million plus add-ons.

However, these offers fell significantly short of Tottenham’s valuation for the player.

The report claims that Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel is said to have met with Kane in London a few weeks ago to convince the striker to join the German giants.

And Kane is now said to be attracted to the idea of winning trophies with the German club, according to sources cited by ESPN.

It further claims that Charlie Kane, Harry’s brother and agent, has been in constant contact with Bayern’s hierarchy, adding fuel to the transfer speculation.

It’s also said that PSG are keeping a keen eye on the situation and are also interested in the striker.

The report claims that PSG are waiting to see how the negotiations plays out between these two clubs before making a move.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have offered Kane a new lucrative contract but the England international has not expressed an immediate willingness to sign it and is reportedly open to considering all options.

Kane is the club’s highest goal scorer and is the second highest goal scorer in the Premier League, only behind Alan Shearer.

He had earlier admitted his desire to break the Premier League legend’s record but it seems that he may have changed his mind and decided to sacrifice the Premier League record in search of trophies if he’s keen on a move to Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane is expected to meet new manager Ange Postecoglou on Wednesday to hold ‘showdown talks’ which is expected to determine his future.
